Hello! I’m a cybersecurity professional with a strong foundation in applied security practices and a versatile background that spans both technical roles and customer service. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Cyber Security from Queen’s University Belfast, where my focus was on penetration testing and computer forensics, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh.
In my role as a Junior Security Engineer at Octagram, I gained hands-on experience in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), employing tools like Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus, and Burp Suite to secure internal and client infrastructures. My programming skills in Python and C, along with Bash scripting, have been critical in automating security tasks and enhancing system efficiency. Additionally, I have solid expertise in managing and securing databases such as MySQL and Oracle, and I’m well-versed in security standards like ISO/IEC 27001.
Complementing my technical expertise, I have a strong background in customer service, having worked as a Customer Service Advisor at Santander Bank UK PLC and a Sales Assistant at Tesco Mobile. These roles sharpened my ability to communicate complex technical information in an accessible manner, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver exceptional service. My experience in customer-facing roles has honed my problem-solving skills and equipped me with a customer-first mindset, which is invaluable when addressing security challenges.
In my previous position as a Civil IT Officer with the Cyber Intelligence Division of the Bangladesh Police (CID), I was responsible for configuring and troubleshooting networks, managing IT infrastructure, and conducting forensic analysis on cyber incidents. This role required not only technical acumen but also the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, ensuring that security policies and procedures were both effective and compliant.
I am a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and a Certified Network Defender (CND), continuously advancing my expertise through ongoing training, including CompTIA certifications. My unique blend of technical skills and customer service experience makes me adept at delivering tailored security solutions that meet both business needs and technical requirements.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I am dedicated to community engagement and mentoring. I’ve volunteered as a cybersecurity ambassador, sharing my knowledge with students, and as a Taekwondo instructor, where I’ve earned recognition for my dedication and discipline.
